HANWHA - ACE STAGE 1
BUILT
The $170 million Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE) is located next to Avalon Airport in Geelong. Once completed the 32,000m2 facility will initially be focused on the production of Hanwha’s AS9 self-propelled howitzer and AS10 Armoured Ammunition Resupply vehicles with capacity for future expansion.
The facility includes:

multiple assembly and production lines

a 1,500-metre test track

a deep-water test facility

an R&D center and;
-
an obstacle course to test capability
Toohey’s Form-crete have been contracted to deliver the concrete package for the facility including:

Excavation and pouring of all pad footings, strip footings, rafts and beams to ground slabs

Supply of all reinforcement and concrete

FRP ground slabs approx. 18,000m2

FRP suspended post tensioned slab approx. 2775m2
-
Pour and finish in-situ columns and Stairmaster’s
Supply, pour and finish all concrete approx. 10,000m3
