Old Geelong Road Level Crossing

McConnell Dowell

The Old Geelong Road level crossing is on the Werribee Line in the City of Wyndham. The level crossing was replaced with a grade-separated, road-over-rail and Princes Highway bridge at an alternative location approximately 750m east of existing crossing. A new pedestrian overpass was also constructed near the location of the existing crossing to provide access to the new Hoppers Crossing Train Station.

Toohey’s Form-crete were awarded an FRP package to construct in-situ concrete barrier footings and install barriers to the new road bridge connecting the Princes Highway with Old Geelong Road including:

  • FRP In-situ Barrier Footings approx. 660lin m

  • Precast Barrier Installation approx. 1200lin m

  • Construction of In-situ Barrier End Posts
