The $88 million Werribee Open Range Zoo Expansion Project shall deliver a world-class facility and elephant habitat to house Victoria’s Asian elephant herd that are to be relocated from the Melbourne Zoo. The project includes purpose-built barn facilities, pedestrian pathway trail, viewing areas overlooking the elephant pools and landscapes for priority conservation species.
Toohey’s Form-crete have been contracted to deliver the concrete package for the herd barn, bull barn and amenities building including:

Excavation of all footings, beams and piles

Supply and installation of reinforcement

FRP ground floor slabs approx. 1600m2

FRP in-situ walls and columns up to 6.5m high

Supply, pour and finish all concrete
